Edinburgh’s Kat Healy tells stories of a changing country.

 She speaks in a new generation of folk tradition, wistful about another generation of people drinking and falling in and out love.  The tales are old themes voiced with a new truth. Kat doesn’t remake or rehash, but tells us how these ageless universals fit in the modern world.

At a time when writing about love has changed from the heartfelt to the heartless, lost under a morass of efficient musicianship and over emoting, Kat’s stories move in surprising but truthful directions.

Kat sings of broken bones, bruised hearts and sweet Novembers with beautiful honesty.   The Kat Healy Music Club’s roots reach far back to explain how we feel today.
